„I am very pleased with my work and contribution to the community being recognised and awarded with the Order of the Holy Empress Milica, very brave and strong woman who left her mark in Serbia’s history. I am particularly pleased with the presentation of the order taking place in the Monastery of Studenica, the beauty and importance of which remind us of the Nemanjić dynasty, which set the foundations of spiritual and cultural development of our country. It is a duty of all of us to contribute to preserving this historic place in order to keep it for future generations and to transfer to them the values which have been cherished here for centuries“, Mrs. Đurić said.
„It is a particular honour and great satisfaction when an individual’s work is recognised and rewarded, especially at a place like this, which represents the centre of spirituality and culture of our nation. Great historical figures have built this complex and made it possible for it to be preserved till modern times. All of us, as individuals, are responsible to give our best to preserve the history kept by our monasteries for future generations, in order to provide that they also can be proud of their heritage, like we are today“, Đurić said.
Draginja Đurić has, for thirteen years already, led Banca Intesa, leading financial institution on domestic banking market, which is determined to achieve its successes in a socially responsible manner. Whether philanthropic activities, own CSR projects of preserving Serbia’s cultural-historic heritage or corporate volunteering are in question, Banca Intesa has invested actively to the benefit of the widest community for years.
As President of Banca Intesa Executive Board, Draginja Đurić already received „Planeta Biznis“ award two times, presented by Magazin Biznis, for successful management of the bank which invested the most in CSR programs in 2011 and 2013.
