Banca Intesa Beograd IN THE MASTERCARD BOARD

The Assistant Director General of the Card Department of Banca Intesa Beograd, Mr. Dejan Tešić was chosen to be the member of the MasterCard Regional Board for Central and Eastern Europe on November 2nd 2004.

The Regional Board of the above mentioned region consisting of Banks from Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Slovenia, Croatia, Russia, Ukraine and Romania is made up of 15 members of the leading Banks as well as of 8 members of the MasterCard organization.

The choice of a Director from Serbia on such a high international function is a personal recognition, a recognition for Banca Intesa Beograd and our country, as well.

The ability to implement the latest up-to-date IT systems and its maximum contribution to the development of non-cash payment in the country and the financial market, distinguished Banca Intesa Beograd on the domestic market and help our country to approach the developed countries.

This choice was influenced by the exceptional business results of Banca Intesa Beograd in the scope of payment cards activities and the fact that Banca Intesa Beograd introduced the MasterCard on the domestic market and issued more than 160 000 of these payment cards in the country.
